You wore your dream dress, cool jewelry, nice shoes and you felt like a princess. But now your prom is over and you have this dress that you aren't planning on wearing again just hanging in your closet taking up space. What can you do with it? Of course you could sell it but wouldn't you feel so much better if you could donate it. To be involved in making another girl's dreams of the perfect prom come true could be a wonderful feeling, not to mention a great story to tell your children.
1. Ask some of your teachers if they know any girls who might be able to use your dress.
2. Leave your dress with the Family Resource Director at your school and allow her the privilege of helping a student be able to go to prom.
3. Look in the local newspaper for "dress drives" established businesses and organizations participate in drives offering their place of business as a "drop off" for the dresses.
4. If you live in a small town where dress drives aren't the norm... try searching online for a possible organization to which you can donate your dress.

Be sure you donate your prom dress in a timely manner. The organization receiving your donation needs time to get your dress to another prom attendee.
