Kate Middleton's Overrated Wedding Dress

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Fashion critics are often critiquing fashion with the approach of salespeople for high fashion brands instead of as real art world professionals. One egregious example of the fashion world's refusal to respect art is the recent excessive praise for Kate Middleton's wedding dress.
Nothing is especially creative about that aspect of how the designer for Alexander McQueen designed Kate Middleton's wedding gown. That aspect of the wedding dress design was the most admired aspect.
But mere advertisers for the fashion industry must put a lot of hype around this feature of the gown iin order to be salespeople for Alexander McQueen fashion and the fashion industry. Fashion critics must also claim to love fashion that is current to boost fashion industry sales.
There is no other especially beautiful or original feature of the Kate Middleton wedding dress besides the lace pattern that contrasted against her skin. Sarah Ferguson's royal wedding dress was much more original. It looked like the kind of wedding dress that would be featured in wedding dreams of young girls.
